Here's a song right out of the newspaper. A recent AZ state supreme court decision overturned a lower court and allowed a parolee, convicted of possession of marijuana, to take that drug as a medical prescription. I could not help but chuckle. What if the fellow's malady was PTSD brought on by incarceration for his crime? What if he's now disabled and his "medicine" is now state funded? The mind boggles. Sometimes a great song idea lands right in your driveway. Certainly this one's worth a couple bucks in the tip jar!

just to ease his troubled mind

But the Sherriff found his stash one day
and locked him up in jail
and his release to probation
begins our strange ironic tale

It seems incarceration
wrecked his personality
the Doc said it was a chronic case
of that ol' P. T. S. D.

He prescribed a legal treatment
of a dose of THC
delivered by the very plant
for which the kid paid his penalty
